James: Faith at Work

The Church has rightly celebrated the fact that salvation comes through grace alone by faith alone in Christ alone. This faith, however, never stands in isolation. It does not leave our lives unaffected. The trust we have in God inevitably works itself out in the way we deal with hardship, treat those around us, and posture ourselves toward the world. The faith God has given to us is a faith that is at work shaping our attitudes, actions, and relationships. James makes it clear, If you have faith, that faith will be on display everyday. Saving faith is a faith at work.

Ruth | Encountering the God Who Provides

The story of the book of Ruth in the Old Testament begins with deep brokenness. In spite of everything that goes wrong, God provides joy for hopeless woman, a redeemer for her family, and a King for his people. Our hope for this series is that you will see that God orchestrates the events of life and provides joy for us in the midst of circumstances that seem hopeless. God has provided a redeemer in Christ Jesus. Finally, God provides people for himself who seem unworthy or unfit to bring about his great and noble purposes. We pray that in Ruth you will encounter this God who provides.
